Out at the orchard, this is a very strange year for growth patterns. Some trees are still dormant as of June 19th, and some trees of the same species literally 10 feet away are leafing out. Indian blood peaches, persimmons, and even pawpaws are suffering this inconsistency. The trees are alive looking at the cambria, but no leaves yet on half. Here is hoping the warmer days ahead will break their dormancy.
About half of our pawpaw trees have fruit and we have to see how they fare into the heat of summer.
